imagine being preserved in between the pages of a dozen notebooks
or captured in a hundred different photographs
or depicted in a single painting, infinite care in each brush stroke
to see yourself through the eyes of another
if someone wrote of me with half the care that i do of them
i think
woah. this is such a relevant feeling. keep sharing your words with the world, and someday, I have no doubt biographers will fill books about you. ;)

ReplyDeleteGOODNESS I LOVE THIS
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful. For some reason this made me think of God, planning and chronicling my life and forming me. Keeping me in His records, lovingly painting me into form, taking snapshots of the special moments in my life. Your words are just sooo gorg; please keep sharing ❤

This reminds of of the little thoughts I have about if someone is thinking of me thinking of them! Ya know? That sounds so confusing typed. I love thinking about these kinds of things. This piece makes me wonder!

ReplyDeleteGO AND PUT ALL THESE GENIUS POEMS IN A BOOK AND PUBLISH IT FOR US. <33333 You could be the next atticus or rupi kaur bcs seriously...LOOK AT THIS GOLD.
ReplyDeleteThis made me think - if a dozen people wrote down a little snapshot or detail of you [a general 'you'] in a notebook, and then the descriptions were gathered and put together - would the resulting image be a beautifully three-dimensional picture? Might they, collectively, see the beauty and details in you that you can't see yourself? (Slightly off-topic, but that's what it made me think about ;)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful poem, and very thought-provoking for just seven lines! <3

You are the kind of person who could have novels written about her, and they still wouldn't be enough to show how wonderful you are. But when I meet you one day, I'm definitely going to try. <3
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful - know this: You deserve to be written about. Your story, your beauty.
ReplyDeleteIt matters.
You have such a gift with words and yes, I've wondered this too. <3
