morning routine // forever loved

Forever thankful for Colleen, who volunteers to fill in for me while I'm trying to juggle things in my life and who finds a way to mention smoothies and waffles in her guest post. I want to be her. ;) So, now that I've got your attention with waffles, go ahead and read her post and then head on over to her little corner of the internet at Forever Loved and show her some love!!! We have way too much in common- except she's more fabulous ;)
[ps sorry to colleen that this took so long- I was having formatting issues earlier and I'm technologically challenged so]
[ps to my followers I had my last final for my college classes yesterday so hopefully gonna be back on the grid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!]

Hi there! My name is Miss C, and I blog over at Forever Loved. Olivia and I recently became blogging friends, and I’m so excited to be hanging out with ya’ll today!!

Forever loved is my little place on the internet where I share what God has been teaching me lately and some very random ramblings with a few pictures thrown in. I’d love it if you’d go check it out!

Today, I’m going to be talking about what my morning routine looks like! It’s always a little different (some days a girls’ just got to sleep in those 15 minutes, you know??) but here’s what I usually try to make happen!

6:00 am- wake up time! This may seem early to some people, but I don’t usually stay up past 10:30 at night - that way I’m rested and ready to go the next morning.
6:05 am-I usually do my hair first thing in the morning, and then if I feel like putting makeup on, I will. Somedays I just like to let my skin BREATHE. Because sometimes it just needs a break. I also wash my face in the morning. Finding the right face wash has become quite the ordeal in my life. Right now, I am using a Neutrogena Face Wash that I really like. (I found it at Target.) I also use a moisturizer that I buy from a company called Melaleuca.

6:15-I’ll head out to our living room with Bible and journal and highlighters in hand and have devotions. This is most definitely my favorite part of my morning, and I try to be intentional as possible with getting this done no matter how rushed I am. By the way, I don’t always drink Izze while having devotions…. there was just that one time.

6:40-It may sound cliché and teenager-ish to you, but I like to have my outfit picked out the night before. I HATE picking out what to wear. Honestly. If I have it picked out before-hand, I can usually save quite a large amount of (ahem) some time. Pinterest often helps with this. When looking at style pins, I try to find something similar to what I have in my closet, which makes outfit picking go much smoother. I’m slowly transitioning my wardrobe from winter to spring/summer, but this gets a little interesting when we have snowstorms like the one we had on Saturday where I live! Comfort is the main thing I look for when I buy clothes, if I don’t feel comfortable, I don’t feel beautiful! I always need some new outfit inspiration, so I thought I’d share with you some outfits that I love. I love wearing the black dress to church because it’s so versatile. I am a receptionist (I have to dress up when I go to work) so the other three outfits are examples of what I would wear to work.

6:45-Some mornings I am heading out the door right now with a NAKED  (please raise your hand if you’re with me that NAKED is the best) smoothie in one hand and my Psychology book in the other hand. I take classes at my local college with a dual enrollment program, and my class starts at 7:30. Yep, you read that right. 7:30. & it takes about a half hour to get there and I am one of those people who are obsessed with being early- which means I try to leave the house at 6:45. Mornings that I don’t have class, I will go downstairs and work out until it’s time for chores and breakfast.

7:15-Breakfast! My family tries to eat most of our meals together, so breakfast involves everyone but my dad who left for work long before I woke up. We will often have homemade smoothies or oatmeal. I’m not a big breakfast person, unless it’s waffles. obviously because waffles are life.

7:45-By this time breakfast is over, the chores are almost done, and it’s time to sit down for school!

Thanks for reading! I hope you enjoyed it, and maybe I’ll catch you later at www.foreverlovedblog.wordpress.com?! If you’re from my corner of the world wide web, be sure to give Olivia a follow because she is the BEST.

  8. Super glad to meet you, Colleen!!! Man, you have such productive mornings! I just rolled out of bed around 10:00, edited some, ate some, and then studied the Bible. It's already almost 1:00! (Summertime has me on lazy-morning mode.) But I will be trying to get more productive earlier for sure.

YOUR OUTFITS ARE SO STINKING CUTTEE!!

And what is a Naked smoothie? I'm not well versed in the smoothie world, and so I have no idea what you are talking about...

    1. I'm super glad to meet you too! I know exactly what you mean. Summertime makes me want to just relax outside ALL DAY. & thanks :).
Naked is a brand of smoothies, they're super good, and they're also good for you. Most of them are made out of just fruit. You can often find them at a local grocery store!
