two truths + a lie

ok so here's the rules. we did this exercise in my creative writing class where you write three short excerpts about your life, then share them and people have to guess which one is a lie (or you can do 2 lies + a truth, whatever). soooo here goes nothing! everyone post your guesses in the comment section! will be revealing which one is a lie, MONDAY 12/18. also tagging a few people below just for the fun of it !!!
1. I remember when the hurricane came and flooded the backwoods for miles. Me and all my cousins went out and foraged in the mud, exploring for hours in the murky water, swimming when it got over our heads, and surprised when we came out with nothing but a cut foot bleeding out on the gravel road back home.
2. I remember when we decided to cut across the field of one of our distant neighbors we never talked to. We ran along the tree line like it was some kind of secret cause we knew he'd told our parents to stay away. It was only when we got to the other side by the river that we saw him. He was standing out there with two huge, mean-looking dogs on either side, and he was staring right at us. We froze wondering whether to risk the two mile run back home or go jump in the river or just wait there like sitting ducks.
3. I remember one day when we ran away back in the woods behind my cousins house til we finally got to the field. It was getting dark and cloudy by the time we reached the barbed wire fence and saw the enormous bull on the other side. When my cousin, the one my age who everyone thought was my twin, and the older one with dark hair decided to go in for the fun of it, I felt sick. But, of course, I didn't say anything. No sense in getting called a girl when you could avoid it. They crawled under barely avoiding the barbed wire. Once they were under though, they started making a clamor of noise, whooping and yelling and running around, trying to provoke the distant bull. Only it seemed to be working. "Y'all!" I yelled. The bull snorted and pawed at the ground. They saw and scrambled to get back under the wire without being electrocuted, as the bull started charging.

TAGS:
Literally anyone else who wants to do it!!!! and feel free to say I tagged you for it in your post ^-^

OK HERE'S THE TRUTH: #3 WAS THE LIE.
although partly true, the bull did not charge lolz.
thanks for all the guesses you guys!!! xo

team waffle | a tag

  1. thank/link the person who tagged you.
  2. answer the questions.
  3. tag 5 people.
  4. include your favorite waffle/pancake recipe. (optional!)
shout out to rachel for starting a full out war underneath my simple tweet of "I want waffles". head on over to her blog for a little run down of how this all actually got started. also thanks to dslfkj lskdfjdlkjf lskdfjldsk slkdfj for tagging me. ^-^

// ideal pancake or waffle in three words //
light and not pancake. just kidding. i'd like to clarify that i eat both, but waffles are so blatantly superior in my mind that i had to participate. i have yet to eat a pancake that doesn't leave me feeling gross afterwards. < my life is basically a tragedy. or a tragicomedy because in the end i get waffles.

// if you could eat pancakes or waffles with anyone in the world, living or dead, fictional or real, who would it be //
either c. s. lewis or julie andrews. tough stuff. refusing to let myself think about fictional characters because i won't be able to constrain myself. although i feel like dumbledore could really appreciate a good waffle.

// top three condiments to put on your pancakes or waffles //
wow. these are too difficult for me. recently was introduced to the idea of cream cheese on waffles (this basically like combining bagels and waffles and i almost started crying. my two favorite entities in the universe combined. wow.) and that was good. also cool whip and any berry. i've also heard fried chicken ??? on the bucket list to try.

// why pancakes or waffles are better than the other option //
*prepares master thesis presentation* waffles have special boxes to store syrup, butter, cream cheese, berries, etc. it basically makes you feel like you have an organized life. they are infinitely more aesthetically pleasing. you can hold them to eat on the go. much more difficult with pancakes. at least for me my waffle maker divides them up into quarters so if you don't want much then you can just take half or a quarter, or if you want more but are unwilling to commit to eating a whole one, you can just take a little bit. or take four different quarters and use different toppings for each. also their name is a WAFFLE. like are you kidding me just think about how great that word is. it just makes you want to eat one.

// if you could make your pancakes or waffles into any shape or size how would you choose //
a hand making a peace sign. who even knows why. oh or sunglasses. i would feel so cool.

//tags//
madilyn

how do i recipe i've only ever used like two different ones so i'm not even gonna put them on here but autumn and abbiee both had gorgeous waffle recipes so go find those. probably will end your life long search for happiness.

the power of words tag

  1. Thank the person who nominated you and give a link to their blog (optional: give them a waffle for tagging you!) THANK YOU FOR TAGGING ME, ABBIE. A SHIPMENT OF WAFFLES IS OBVIOUSLY ON ITS WAY TO YOU RIGHT NOW.
  2. Answer the original 6 text-themed questions
  3. Add a typography/word related question of your own for those you tagged to answer
  4. Tag 6+ bloggers and let them know (via their blogs, social media, whatev)
  5. Include these rules in your post. I almost was a rebel and didn't follow this one, but.

/ FAVORITE LETTER OF THE ALPHABET /
Wow. I'm not sure if you actually know how possible it is to overthink this question. I've been thinking about it for like a day. I think it's W. I've always liked double u he always seemed like a little misfit. Cutie. At the same time though, in all actuality, deep down my favorite is probably I, because I use it 24/7 and unfortunately am constantly focused on myself. But I like W better.
/ THREE WORDS THAT YOU LOVE /
Cerulean (shout out to Cally the babe for this one). Celestial. Cadence. I ONLY DID C WORDS BECAUSE THERE ARE SO MANY WORDS THAT I'VE FALLEN IN LOVE WITH THAT I DIDN'T KNOW WHAT TO DO.
/ THREE WORDS THAT YOU HATE /
Mediocre. Acrimonious. (ok I actually like that one- I just wanted to include it). Flabby. STAP.
/ IF YOU WERE TO CREATE A WORD, WHAT IT WOULD BE + DESCRIBE /
This is so deep. Wow. Okay, so I have a page in one of my writing notebooks and for the name of a sorcerer I was looking up elvish words for darkness, cold, soul, and whatnot, as one does, and I came up with the name Morchant. It means shadow, but it's a combination of the words morn:dark and cant:shadow. Since that's a word I've already come up with and had written down, there you go. And, obviously, it wouldn't be used as a name.

/ THREE FAVORITE PUNCTUATION MARKS /
. : !

/ THREE OF YOUR FAVORITE FONTS /
Y'all. I don't do fonts. I'm too technologically challenged to figure out my fonts, although I will on occasion drool over other peoples vast array of fonts.  *muffled cries*

/ ONE WORD THAT MEANS A LOT TO YOU /
Nostalgia and gentle and cancer. And yeah. I did three.

/ IF YOU COULD CHANGE THE WAY ONE WORD SOUNDED WHICH WOULD IT BE AND HOW WOULD IT SOUND /
You know that country Qatar? How about it be pronounced how it looks, mkay? Apparently, it's pronounced Cudder. (?!?!?!?!) Unacceptable. It should be pronounced KA TAR or KAY TAR. I'm fully aware that there are more pressing words that I would like to change pronunciations for, but oh well. I'll think of them later and get upset.
/ MY QUESTION FOR YOU: FAVORITE WORD THAT STARTS WITH THE FIRST LETTER OF YOUR NAME /

/ TAGS /

If some of you don't do tags, I guess that's too bad. You'll have to do it anyway.
PS I also like the word melodramatic.

beautiful people #17 // asa

okay first of all if you don't know what this link up thingy is
it's a fabulous idea. i hadn't worked on this novel idea in forever,
but this linkup totally inspired me again. this character profile thing
is for one of my supporting characters. i'm already way too emotionally attached tbh.
here's what I have on my figment. it's just a few minutes long, so go read it pls
and i'll definitely love you forever (but i probably will love you forever anyway)
it's called flame and shadow and here's my baby named asa. tell me what you think about him
and tell me all about any of your lovely supporting or main characters!!!!

//

asa : healing / physician / cure
he's dark haired and light olive skinned and quiet and funny and has a heart of gold or something less rich and more pure
  1. How often do they smile? Would they smile at a stranger? Often, sometimes for the benefit of others. Yes.
  2. What is the cruelest thing they’ve ever been told? And what was their reaction? First of all, please stop hurting me in this way, Cait. Too many feelings. Okay. *deep breath* His dad once told him when he was younger that he wished he'd never slept with Asa's mom, so he would never have been born (except said with more colorful language). That he's more pain than he's worth. That he's the reason for his mom's hurting.
  3. What is the kindest thing they’ve ever been told? And what was their reaction? His mom told him when he was younger that he was the light of her life- a small, bright, warm candle, keeping her company through the night, and that she wouldn't take the world over him. Hugged her almost as tight as his throat felt. From that point on, she went downhill.
  4. What is one strong memory that has stuck with your character from childhood? Why is it so powerful and lasting? This is too hard- maybe I'll share later. Don't wanna reveal too much, heh.
  5. What book (a real actual published book!) do you think your character would benefit from reading? Um, THE BIBLE. But okay, other than that.... possibly "And the Mountains Echoed" by Kahled Housseini. *continues overthinking late into the night*
  6. Have they ever been seriously injured? How severely? How did they react? Repeatedly, intermittently beaten and bruised by his father, who is a long time drunk and looks as hardened on the outside as he is inside. Bore it in as much silence as he could despite cries of pain and silent angry tears at the injustice of it and his helplessness to prevent it. Eventually learned many natural remedies, from the mom of his friend, a nurse.
  7. Do they like and get along with their neighbors? Yes, but his neighbors are kind of distant and absentee on a consistent basis.
  8. On a scale from 1 to 10 (1 being easy and 10 being difficult) how easy are they to get along with? 3. Compassionate, kind, selfless, but has firmly grounded standards of integrity that are core to his character and hard for him to see violated.
  9. If they could travel anywhere in the world, where would they go? Possibly travel to England for it's history or any Welsh countries, for some reason.
  10. Who was the last person they held hands with? His mom in anticipation of his dad coming home. More recently, with a girl. *smirks*

currently + rambles

In case anyone hasn’t noticed, I’ve been a bit absentee lately. I’m super sorry. I’ve been in a bit of a dry spot. I haven’t been feeling lots of inspiration and I’ve been very busy and blahblahblah everything else you’re already used to hearing from people after a break.

Well, this just a post to say I might be taking a bit of a break for a few weeks. HAH. I’m actually not laughing I’m kind of sad :’) Loads of work are waiting to be done before the end of the semester and work is a thing and helping figure out wedding plans with my sister and so if I have any extra time it will probably be spent reading. I might be popping back in on occasion, but I just wanted to let you know. Also, tons of tags are happening to me, so THIS IS REALLY HARD TO NOT SPEND TIME ON BLOGGING. But I will contain myself. Here’s a little splurge for you lovelies though since I’ve kept you waiting for so long.
Music: Disney playlists on repeat, lots of Classical and Baroque era music for my class (so beautiful actually- these composers talents amaze me), twenty one pilots (sometimes I think I’m not in the mood for them, but then I listen to one song and I can’t stop halp), Lukas Graham lsadfk, For King and Country
Reads: Gulliver’s Travels by Jonathan Swift, We Cannot Be Silent by Albert Mohler, The Girl You Left Behind by Jojo Moyes, Galatians, and currently, The Scorpio Races by Maggie Stiefvater, and Stars Between the Sun and Moon by Lucia Jang.
Smells: coffee always, the scent of stale smoke on the breath of person sitting beside me lol why, the musky comfort of my bed, the pleasantly unfamiliar smell of a new friends home, OUTSIDE AND GREEN. And mint chocolate chip cookies cause I can. Earth.
Eats: Frozen pizza and cookies. #healthyliving Eggs constantly. Coffee. Clementines. Yogurt and granola. And chicken. And wraps.
Wears(?): shorts and a tank top this afternoon what!!!!! Mostly just nice stuff for work (blegh). Leggings and a tank right now. Tomorrow I don't know what I'll be wearing, but I'm determined to look good cause I have a big test and feeling good about how I look boosts my confidence level x394.
Thoughts: if I do not have love I am nothing. I need to start a war room or wall in my closet. Basically everything on my twitter feed. I forgot how brilliant Doctor Who is (s/o to a friend for the reminder via sleep over;). Also forgot how good it feels not to set an alarm even though it was an accident. I got my license today *flskdfj* This article.
Feels: Civil War is coming out in less than a month and I’m already crying. I don’t want my sister to move out and I don’t want to think about it either so I just push it out of mind because who has time for feels about that? How God speaks to us through his Word!!!!!!!!!! 2 cool. Tears because summer is so close yet so far. Driving alone with the windows down and 80 degree weather and radio on. Yes.
So, that’s it for now! If you want to keep up with me during my break go follow me on Twitter and Instagram! Pinterest is also an option. I miss y’all!!!! S/O to Melinda at Called to Belong for tagging me for this "what I'm doing now" thingy. Hers was full of gifs and definitely way better than mine, so go look it up! Anyone else who wants to do the tag should do that. ^-^
ps // I got to guest post over at Silver Mess (which is one of my fave blogs- Rachel is the coolest) so go check that out!!!!!! It’s about a day in the life (of me lol)

infinity dreams // tag you're it

GUYS SO I HAVE A NEW BLOGGER FRIEND YAY. And she tagged my for an award so x2 YAY. Maggie's a fan of laughing, letter writing, her big family, and JESUS. So, obviously you need to go check out her blog right HERE right now.
The tag is technically to list 11 facts about yourself and then answer 11 questions that the nominator chose, but I'm actually way too excited for these questions, so I'm gonna skip to that part. Oops. But guess what? I actually told everyone tons of random stuff in response to fab questions in my vlog the other day, so if you're really just dying to know more about me (I know you are) you can go check that out HERE! Self promo for days. Anyway, let's get to the good part now.
1// Everyone is an artist in some way.  How are you an artist? Mmm. Deep stuff. I'm a writer, and artist (like painting and drawing), and I like taking pictures with nice aesthetics, but wouldn't consider myself a photographer. I feel like my answer should be more profound than this.... sorry.
2// Come up with a creative answer to why you don't own a hippo (or why you do!) Because they're mean, and fat, and messy, and take up lots of room, and they prefer to be free and roam the lands of Africa. Also, my great aunt once had a hippo and when it died it broke her heart, so, you know, self preservation. (Is that good??)
3// What is your favorite type of shoe? This iz hard. I really, really want a pair of white converse, but ain't nobody got money for that. I also like my black/dark gray/white nikes. And my solid pair of supple leathery brown combat boots.
4// Describe your favorite pair of pants. LET ME WRITE A DISSERTATION REAL QUICK BRB. Just kidding. So, they're these dark gray oversized sweatpants with pockets... That's it.
5// Do you prefer to write letters on lined paper or in cards?  (I won't judge if you say lined paper!) Line paper to be honest. It feels more raw, and authentic, and real. For some reason. And you can generally fit way more on lined paper. And it's just how I've been writing letters to friends for eighty years, so it's also what I'm familiar with.
6// If you had to go a whole day without either sharpies or scissors, which would you choose? Scissors.
7// Would you rather maintain a garden for a year, or be the only one to clean the kitchen for a year? Maintain a garden!!! For sure. I've actually been wanting to do that for awhile, but the ground around our house isn't great, and also I just haven't seriously tried yet. I feel like it would be good for my soul though. You know?
8// If you had to change your hair color, what would you change it to? ooh. That's so hard. I've always liked my hair and never really wanted to change it. I always thought it would be cool to do something crazy like this though. Or this pretty ombre look. Or just this long dark beautiful hair. DECISIONS ARE HARD.
9// Do you like the New Testament or the Old Testament better, and why? That's hard to say, cause like. They're both God's Word. But if I had to choose I'd say the New Testament. Because everything in the Old Testament is just a shadow, a foretelling of the New. Everything in history has led up to the moment when Jesus entered our messed up world. And that's in the New Testament. So.
10// How many stuffed animals do you own, or did you own as a kid? SO MANY. O.O Maybe like 50? I have no idea. I still have some in my closet. Stuffed animals are the best.
11// What would you say to me if I urgently entreated you to rescue my pet kumquat named Pluey before it got kidnapped by a walrus?  Would you think I was crazy? NO. THIS AN IMPORTANT EXAMPLE OF HOW KUMQUATS RIGHTS ARE CONSISTENTLY AND BRUTALLY ABUSED AND IT CANNOT BE IGNORED ANY LONGER. We cannot allow Pluey to become a martyr for the cause. Were those not the best questions ever????????????????? They totally were. Now, for mine.

1. What's your favorite meal?
2. Do you have bookshelves in your room?
3. What is something you like about yourself?
5. Sweaters or flannel?
6. Greeks or Romans?
7. Favorite book of the Bible and why?
8. Name you would name your first boy and girl?
9. Best candle scent?
10. One sentence to describe your best friend? (I know it's hard- I don't care)
11. Spirit animal?

Nominees: Sophia // Nicole // Madelyn // Lydia // Eve // Elisabeth // Abbie // Kate // Melinda // Grace // Colleen

the tag of happy

Thanks to Olivia (yes, there's another one and she's like twice as amazing as me so go check her out ;) over at the cwtch for nominating me for this tag!!!!!! It's one of my favorites cause it's short and sweet and makes me happy (you know, hence the name). Nominations are at the end!
BOOKS // Currently dying over All the Light We Cannot See. Literally go read it right now. Devour it. I haven't even finished it and I'm already dead. Also dying over the enormity and insurmountability (not even a word) of all the books to be read ever. Mostly at the library. I'm just handling and holding so many different books  (and maybe secretly stroking their spines- whOA THAT SOUNDS REALLY CREEPY SORRY), and I just get overwhelmed at how much I want/need to read. Also in love with books written from the point of view of children. They're SO revealing. Gahhldjkf.
WORDS // Luminous, clairvoyance, nova, fluent, insipid, sublime, incandescently happy (this one word, okay), steadfast.
MOVIES+TV // Jurassic World aka Chris Pratt!!!!!! Fixer Upper, The Office, and, to be honest, Despicable Me.
SCENTS // Coffee, the library, tacos, clear, bright air, lavender candles, my new deodorant hahahahaha, sorry not even sorry.
SONGS // Stressed Out (twenty one pilots), Fix You (Coldplay), The Words (Christina Perri), Man of Sorrows (Hillsong), River Flows in You (Yiruma), Tale as Old as Time (Beauty & the Beast), Shine (Benjamin Francis Leftwhich), Lord, I need You (Chris Tomlin), The Last Goodbye (Billy Boyd). Guess what though guys!?? I just made a Spotify playlist of these and its my first ever ahhhhh. So these songs are slightly randomly assorted for a playlist but you definitely need it in your life, so go and check out my first ever playlist right here and tell me how you like it!!!! Or if that doesn't work for you just go look them up on Youtube :)
MISCELLANY // Y'all's comments like lskfjlsdkf. Raspberries. A wall collage of random stuffs in my room. The fact that Trump didn't win Iowa hehe. She Reads Truth. Barefoot walk yesterday on our road at dusk. Coffee shops (!!). My literature teacher aka best friend who won't admit it. The fact that I'll be in Florida in a little over a month. Sunsets. My job and also that today is my off day. Birthdays. THIS TAG. <3

I tag Grace, Vanessa, Ava, Cally, Mary Shelley, Rachel, and I know some of you don't usually do tags, but at least now the others might go check out your stunning blogs ^-^ And also anyone else who wants to do it, please do it and just say I nominated you and  no one will ever know!!!!!! Let me know if you did cause I want to read all the happy tags and just be happy. xxx

nonofficial best book award (!!!)

Thanks times a million to Abbie (GO SEE HER BLOG IT'S BEAUTIFUL AND SO IS SHE) for tagging me for the nonofficial best book award. I was really excited. Really. So here's the rules and my list and my nominees!!!!!!!
Rule #1 - steal the tag.
Rule #2 - fill in the tag.
Rule #3 - tag people to steal the tag
Rule #4 - SHARE YOUR LINK because books are best and i need more to add to my list.

  1. Best Male Character // Atticus from To Kill a Mockingbird. Also loved what Abbie had to say about Edmund's character from The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. So much development. He's one of my favorites, too.
  2. Best Female Character // Jo from Little Women. "You are the gull, Jo, strong and wild, fond of the storm and the wind, flying far out to sea, and happy all alone."
  3. Best Protagonist (good guy/main character) // probably everyone in Lord of the Rings. Also Bilbo is an absolutely marvelous protagonist. I could go on and on and on, but then I'd be asleep so.
  4. Best Antagonist (bad guy/opposing party to main character) Do you even realize how difficult this is for me. I'll just go with Harry Potter only. Because. Harry Potter. Voldemort, Bellatrix, and Umbridge are all villains that I just can. not. handle. Jo did an incredible job with them I simply can't handle it.
  5. Best Plot Development // Harry Potter series BECAUSE REALLY THE PLOT IS WOVEN THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE 7 BOOKS AND IT'S AMAZING TO LOOK BACK ON.
  6. Best Plot Twist // Gone with the Wind. I feel like the entire book was just a big plot twist.
  7. Book You Threw Across The Room Hardest (in either a bad or good way) // Probably every book ever. I get a little bit too emotionally involved. OKAY OKAY, I'll pick one. The Boston Jane series just had me cringing and hitting myself and in actual physical pain because why can't she just listen to my advice?!
  8. Best Romance // An Old-fashioned Girl. Okay, don't judge by the title. Do not judge in any way whatsoever. Just read it and feel all the feels.
  9. Best Action // Fearless. ??????
  10. Best Other Book (i don't even know what i would put these ones under...but there were a few that deserved recognition.) // The Book Thief no words like don't even talk to me it probably could be put under every category here
  11. Best Book That Made You Change the Way You Think // The Help + Night
  12. Best Inspiring Book // Okay, I know inspiring can be used to mean different things, but The Last Battle was really just wow. It inspired me to want to get to heaven already. ;)
  13. Best Book That Made You Learn Something New // And the Mountains Echoed and Unbroken
  14. Best Sad Book // Wow there's so many to choose from *rolls eyes at how many depressing books seem to show up in my life* ok. The Velveteen Rabbit though. Yes, it's a children's book, and, yes, it still hurts.
  15. Best Funny Book // The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society read it!!!!!!!! sublime in all the areas of goodness.
{ sorry this was a little brief my throat hurts and i'm really tired but can't go to sleep yet because my sheets aren't out of the dryer yet sooo }

gratitude tag

What is gratitude?
It is the quality of being thankful; readiness to show appreciation for and to return kindness.
Often times we forget to show gratitude to one another. Our everyday life struggles get in the way of focusing on what we have and what we can do to show appreciation to one another. Thanksgiving isn't the only time to be reminded of what we are grateful for. We need to be reminded of the people and things that are important to us.With that, I give you the Gratitude Tag! Unlike tags that are centered around the things about thanksgiving (food and black Friday) this is a tag you can do any time of the year.

- Vanessa at Simply Me

1// What is your favorite quote or verse that reminds you to be grateful?
One that isn't directly talking about gratitude, but indirectly affects it is this: "Comparison is the thief of joy." That one always just punches me in the gut because it's so true. Comparing myself, my situation, or my belongings to others dissolves any gratitude I have for those what God has given me. Also that quote "There are people who would love to have your bad days." It's hard to comprehend how incredibly blessed and privileged I am. And 1 Thessalonians 5:18!

2// Who are you grateful for?
Agh so many people. I'm so thankful for my family and my extended family. They're just the best. And my church family. And just friends. And my sister, especially, who I'm learning to appreciate even more as we plan for her wedding in June. :')

3// What life events are you grateful for?
That's a tough one.. I'm really grateful for the local mission trip our church organized this past summer. It brought all of us so much closer and God just did amazing things through it.

4// What is something you are grateful for but often times don't think about?
Whoaaa so many. Um, my bed (♥), a body and mind that are fully functional and capable of learning, the ability to get an education and learn so much, living in a democracy and relative security, air conditioning, and like Vanessa said, FOOD.

5// What are you going to do to show people your gratitude towards them?

Kind of tagging along to what Vanessa said, I tend to be proud or unwilling to admit that I need other people. So, when they do help, or support, or show love for me, I oftentimes resist the urge to thank them or show my gratitude towards, because I want to believe I don't need them or something? I've never really thought through or articulated this before, and it's sounding really foolish (cause it is o.o) but it's definitely something that should change. I do need people and I really am so grateful for the people in my life. It's inconsiderate to them not to show that to them.

Thanks so much to Vanessa for tagging me! This was such a fun and beneficial post to write ^-^ To spread the word about this fabulous tag, I'll tag 5 others (hopefully I'm not overwhelming some of you that I tagged in my liebster award post too *nervous laughter*)

Abby at Abby and the Pens
Lauren at Loving our Creator
Leah at Princess Leah
Audrey at Whimsical Wanderings
Grace at Totally Graced
And anyone else who's up for it ^-^

liebster award // nomination

OK. LIEBSTER AWARD ROUND TWO. Thanks so much to Hannah over at Grace in Everything for nominating me! She chose the best questions ever. ^-^ Here are my responses!!! So much fun to answer.

1// Who is your favorite Disney Princess now and has it ever changed?
Belle. Not that I can think of. I've always been sleeping beauty, but I never liked her. Or her personality. Or the movie. I've always loved Belle's personality, prince, and movie. Also I cry every time I hear Tale as Old as Time so there's that.
2// How do you style your hair?
Gah. Lots of different ways but they're all super fast and easy. Sometimes I braid it or put it in a bun or ponytail or just a bed head (which I promise is not that bad). None of these take more than like a minute. If I'm really feeling like trying I straighten it which takes a while because I have super thick hair. But then it's so much less suffocating. So I guess it's worth it. ;)
3// What was your favorite childhood show or movie?
Oh my worddddd. Are you serious? This is way too hard. So, basically anything Disney. Literally anything. Or Disney Pixar. The first movie that came to mind when I saw this was Fox and the Hound, although I would strongly recommend caution in watching this film because so many feels. Also, Sound of Music and Mary Poppins because obviously and Julie Andrews. The Patriot was one I saw a little bit older but definitely still in my childhood and alskdgj. Wow. That movie. And some of the movies that we watched the most as kids were the Narnia movies, for better or for worse. I can definitely still quote every line.
4// Are you a visual, kinesthetic, or auditory learner?
Visual. I think? It also helps me a looot to read and write stuff so, a little kinesthetic too maybe?
5// What movie are you currently looking forward to watching?
Ummmm. Good question. I have TV shows? Like, Sherlock Christmas special!!!!!!!!!!!!! And the next episode in Agents of SHIELD. Oh, the Star Wars movie (guys confession: I'm not a true star wars fan but I'm really excited and I'm not sure why except for feels?). And these are a long way away but the live action Beauty and the Beast movie and Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them.
6// What is the last item that you purchased?
A latte from a local coffee shop. Typical. Before that, I think it was a candle. Again, typical.
7// What has God said to you recently?
That "now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love." And also that his grace is sufficient and made perfect in my weaknesses.
8// Do you like pineapples?
Psh. Yes.
9// What song is in your head?
Man of Sorrows by Hillsong (LOOK IT UP) and probably every Christmas song ever.
10// What is your favorite part about fall?
Just gonna cram a lot into one answer, cause this is a really hard question. Okay, this is hard to describe but just that feeling of fall: crisp air, a cool leading breeze, vibrant, rusty leaves, radiant blue to dark overcast sky, tiny pinpricks of light in the endless chasm of night, sunsets, wide golden fields ready for harvest. Also, it means the holiday season and a break from school is coming. YES.
11// What is the first thing that you think of when you wake up in the morning?
You probably thought this was going to be deep, and profound, and revealing, but usually my first thought is whether I'm going to push snooze or not. Usually yes.

11 facts about me
- This is really hard for me
- I'm listening to a soft jazz backdrop playlist on spotify because destress.
- This last week has been hard because I'm just honestly struggling about whether I should listen to Christmas music or not yet. Like I'm not supposed to yet, but really I think I need to because I'm not sure how I'm going to survive until Thanksgiving break without it.
- I have like dents that look like dimples in my shoulders. The doctors said they were gonna go away within a few days after I was born but nope. still there.
- Just had to turn off my playlist cause I'm in the hall at class and a guy just walked in and that was just weird.
- These are probably just gonna go downhill from here.
- My lit teacher just came by and I got a compliment for my snarkiness on the last lit exam. Goals.
- I literally love her so much. She has 6 boys under the age of something ridiculous and has a dry sense of humor and has her masters in English and Atticus is probably her hero. She just gets me. She is the best.
- I have to go to lit class hehe. So now, I'm gonna list the rules, but obviously I don't care too much about them, so don't stress over them.
